Fishing Basics covers everything you need to start using PyroFishing on GlowCraft.

🎣 How Fishing Works

Fishing works like normal Minecraft fishing, but PyroFishing adds custom fish, leveling, and progression systems.

To start fishing:

• Hold a fishing rod
• Cast into water
• Wait for a bite
• Reel in your catch

Instead of only catching normal vanilla loot, you will begin catching custom fish as part of the PyroFishing system.

🐟 Catching Custom Fish

Catching custom fish is simple:

• Cast your rod into a body of water
• Wait for a fish to bite
• Reel in your catch

If you are not finding certain fish, check your fish codex to see where different fish can be caught. The official docs note that custom fish can vary heavily between servers, so exact fish locations and availability may depend on GlowCraft’s setup.

💰 Selling Fish

One of the easiest things you can do with fish early on is sell them.

Command	Description
/fish shop	Opens the fishing shop so you can sell your fish.

Selling fish is one of the simplest ways to turn your catches into useful rewards and progression.

📈 Fishing Level

Your Fishing Level is one of the most important parts of PyroFishing.

You gain Fishing XP by catching custom fish. The official defaults list these XP values by tier, though server owners can change them: Bronze 75 XP, Silver 150 XP, Gold 300 XP, Diamond 700 XP, Platinum 1900 XP, and Mythical 6000 XP.

⭐ Why Fishing Level Matters

Your Fishing Level is used for several major parts of progression:

• Crafting augments
• Unlocking and constructing the Fishing Totem
• Earning skill points for skills

The docs specifically note that the Fishing Totem requires level 20, and that skill points are tied to leveling.
